Well, I have finally decided to throw caution to the wind and decorate my orange and yellow house with red and green this Christmas. This radical move came about because of my (admittedly somewhat desperate) desire to demonstrate the reasoning behind my vast and inexplicable collection of red, polka dotted mushrooms. So, I have several gnomes, who have graciously agreed to play the part of elves, lots of pine cones, some little forest-y type animals, and– voila! We have a magical “Woodland Christmas”! Well, actually it’s more of a “Deadly Poisonous Mushroom Christmas”, but I like the way it turned out anyway.
Enjoy, and have yourself a merry little Christmas!

I made my mushroom tree topper out of that old trusty stand-by, the famous toilet paper tube, and a paper bowl turned upside down.

I didn't have a Christmas-y tablecloth, so I used wrapping paper down the center of the table. My kind of clean-up!

I cut the icicles (on the mantel) out of sparkly wired ribbon. It was a nightmare. I recommend doing it with either crepe paper or regular paper dipped in glitter.
