Daisy Pomander

Courtesy of Mary Engelbreit’s You’re Invited

There are so many kinds of pomanders: Ones of fabric filled with sweet-smelling dried lavender; others stuffed with fiber batting; a third type that’s just a Styrofoam orb.

Make these cute daisy pomanders as big or small as you like, though smaller ones for each guest make a sweet keepsake from a special brunch with Deux Delicious French Toasts and Bonnes Bouchees Au Chocolat.

You Will Need:

Flowers
Styrofoam ball
Glue gun
Ribbon
T-pin

Instructions

1. Prepare the flowers. Remove the stems and leaves from silk or paper flowers.

2. Heat the glue gun. Place a dab of glue at the bottom of each flower and attach it to the ball. Continue until the surface of the ball is covered with flowers. Let the glue dry.

3. Cut a length of ribbon. Attach the ribbon to the ball with a T-pin, leaving 2 or 3 inches at the ribbon ends. Clip the ends decoratively.

4. Layer on as many fabric or paper flowers as you can. If you like, spritz the pomander with a fragrance.
