Welcome to Mary Engelbreit Studios! We hope you enjoy a glimpse into a few of our work spaces. ME Studios is located in a historic neighborhood in St. Louis, surrounded by beautiful old homes, art galleries, gift shops, restaurants and bakeries, so there’s always something fun to see and do. To keep everyone inspired when they’re inside, Mary makes sure it is the cutest place in town! Visit “About ME Studios” to learn more about what we do here.
Mary’s trademark “bowlies” and collections of her initials dot the reception area. Wood floors and some of her flea market furniture finds make the open loft style of the space feel cozy.
The queen is always watching! Mary’s “Under Seige” art is hung over the reception desk at just the right height to whimsically (and maybe with a little dry humor) greet everyone who enters. A collection of retired product is a great time capsule of the Studios’ work over the years.
Lithographs from the covers of Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion are hung gallery-style around the room and serve as great inspiration for brain-storming sessions and meetings with licensees.
Not too many offices can say they have a lunch room that feels like a real home kitchen! Most days, there’s a stack of magazines and catalogs to browse during a break, and of course some calorie-laden snack to share from one of the neighborhood eateries.
Mary follows the philosophy that if you have to have meetings, they might as well be in a cute office! New painted chairs and an old set of wicker make for a great conversation spot.
Each and every ME product comes through the PD room at least 3-4 times during the development process, which makes it an exciting, and of course cute, place to be! We have a thorough but speedy and efficient process that ensures the products bearing Mary’s name meet our design and quality standards.
The Creative Director and a staff of freelance artists trained in Mary’s style help adapt her original creations to thousands of different product categories and formats, so the Studios’ stash of art supplies and reference materials is a must-have! They keep quote books on hand to double check attributions and name spellings, books about animals and clothing from different periods, and of course a huge variety of colors.
