Tools of the Trade
Any kind of permanent, light-fast marker. I prefer Copic, Prismacolor, and Trias.
I use Prismacolor colored pencils.
I use a 2H pencil to sketch the drawing first.
I use a Copic fine line marker .005 to ink it in.
I use a kneaded eraser for big spaces, and my beloved electric eraser, which is actually battery-powered, for erasing details.
I use a big, fluffy brush to brush away eraser crumbs, and I always draw with a tissue under my hand to prevent oils from getting on the paper, which may cause the ink to bleed.
I use 3ply 100% acid-free illustration board, with a smooth plate finish so the markers don't bleed.
I also couldn't live without my electric pencil sharpener.
That's it! Have fun!
